Millefiori Jewellery

Millefiori is derived from the Italian words "mille" (thousand) and "fiori" (flowers), aptly named for it being a type of floral pattern.

We stock many millefiori designs, including; necklaces, bracelets and earrings! Millefiori jewellery makes for some of the most unique and interesting designs we sell.

The technique of making millefiori glass beads starts with the production of glass rods, known as murrine, with multicolored patterns which are viewable only from the cut ends of the rods. The murrine rods are heated in a furnace, pulled until thin while still maintaining the cross-sectional design, and then cut into bead shapes.
