Amber Jewellery can vary in colour from golden reds, through to honey gold. It is usually transparant but on occassions opaque, and it shows insects or pieces of pine needles or plant life in it. Known to be the resin from extinct pine or conifer trees, this resin that is millions of years old is known as "Amber", which was more commonly found floating in the Baltic Sea. However more recently hardened resins found in Australia, New Zealand, or even here in the UK, are called "Copal Amber" due to their immaturity.
