Lapis Lazuli and Freshwarter Pearl Necklace
Lapis Lazuli is one of the most valuable semi-opaque stones. It is most often a solid strong blue. But is more valuable when it is found with small veins of pyrite. Lapis was used extensively in ancient Egypt and has been mined in Afghanistan for over 7000 years. The ancient city of Ur had a thriving trade in Lapis as early as the 4th Century BC.
Organizes and quiets the mind, as well as adding wisdom. Helps heal anxiety, restlessness, insomnia, and depressions. Protects from physical harm. Points the way to enlightenment.
I have simply sesigned this necklace with alternate Lapis Lazuli short barrel beads and freshwater pearls. Strung to the length of 18 inches and adding a 2 inch extention chain so it can be worn longer.
