Freshwater Pearls are cultured by the fishermen in freshwater lakes throughout the World.  They cultivate the pearls by placing small pieces of live tissue into Mussel shells where they continue to grow. Once harvested the pearls have adopted the colour of the inside of the shell they have grown in.

This necklace is of a classic design made up with 7-8mm genuine white freshwater pearls.  A Sterling Silver lobster style clasp and extension chain has been added.

The necklace measures 17 inches long and is a must for women of all ages to own.
