Aurora Borealis Hematite Necklace

Hematite is the mineral form of iron. This extremely popular gemstone, was one of the most used stones in the world. It is compact and slightly heavier than other gemstones.   Not to be confused with "Hematine", which is a synthetic material sold as magnetic hematite.

This Hematite is the colours of the Northern Lights so will go with anything. I have made this necklace to a standard length of 17 inches and added a Sterling Silver lobster clasp plus a 2 inch Sterling Silver extension chain so it can be worn slightly longer. Hematite is a slightly heavy stone due to the iron content. But the gemstone is good for the circulation.  This is not a magnetic stone.
