Mother of Pearl Earrings
Vibrant or iridescent mother of pearl earrings. Delicately crafted to a decorative design. Gorgeous and eye-catching. Especially attractive when used to enhance monochromatic colours.
Whilst white mother of pearl is taken from the lining of oyster shells, black lip mother of pearl is taken from marine cultured black lipped oysters. Some of the lower grades are dyed or laquered, not only to cover their imperfections, but also to make them look equally attractive.
